The Bogue Chitto Bobcats (5-7) were eliminated from the MHSAA 2A playoffs Friday night after suffering a 44-12 defeat at Perry Central (6-5).

The homestanding Bulldogs led 26-0 at halftime.

The Bobcats got on the board in the third period when quarterback Shaw King hit senior receiver Zach Upkins on a 32-yard scoring pass. In the fourth quarter BC got a 19-yard rushing score from junior J.T. McCaffrey.

Perry Central moves on to play Region 6-2A champs Philadelphia (11-1).
