Severe storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, tornadoes and large hail are expected Monday as a storm system moves through the area, the National Weather Service said.

Southwest Mississippi can expect storms between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

A tornado watch is in effect until 6 p.m. today.
