Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Jeddiah Williams Sr. will be on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, Mississippi, at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Garland Boyd and Bro. Nathan Case will officiate the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, from 5 until 8 p.m. and will resume on Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of the service at 1 p.m.

Mr. Williams, 74, of Brookhaven, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, surrounded by his loving family at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. He was born on Oct. 11, 1945, in Brookhaven, to Charles and Genevieve Williams. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver of 46 years. His hobby was woodworking and he loved camping and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Williams was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Donna Lynn McLeod; and brother-in-law, Bobby Glenn Smith.

Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Lynda Williams; son, Joseph Jeddiah Williams Jr. and his wife, Hilary; brother, Edwin Williams and his wife, Linda; sister, Abigail Smith; grandchildren, Jonothan Williams, Kristin Williams McManus and her husband, Ben, Jessica Williams Warren and her husband, Clayton, Joseph McLeod and Angel McLeod, Joann Williams, Garrett Coone and Chloe Coone;  great-grandchild, Adelyn McManus; and a host of family and friends.
