Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Juanita Ratcliff Coone will be on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Red Star Ward) in Wesson, Mississippi, at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in the Red Star Cemetery. Bishop Randall Sones will be conducting the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, from 5 until 8 p.m. and will resume on Friday at The Red Star Ward from 9 a.m. until time of the service at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Coone, 87, of Wesson, Mississippi, passed from this life on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on Oct. 10, 1932, in Lincoln County, Mississippi, to Richard Carlos Ratcliff and Mary Lou Lea Ratcliff. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and retired after 20 years of service as a lab technician with Tropicana. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 49 years, James V. Coone; daughter, Carolyn Beth Coone; son, James M. Coone; son-in-law, Marc Crawford; brother, Shelby Ratcliff; and sisters, Ida Lee Britt and Iva Pearl Golmon.

Survivors are her daughters, Cathy Smith and husband, Wayne, Darlene Crawford; son, James S. “Jimbo” Coone; daughter-in-law, Helen Coone; grandchildren, Scott Smith, Tara Rogers, Matthew Smith, Christina Matthews, Timmy Coone, Danny Coone, Melissa McIlwain, Susie Waldrop, Darla Jackson, Marcy Crawford, and Tirzah Crawford; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Lofton, Linda Weatherby, and Margie Falvey; and a host of family and friends.
