Tornado warning in effect until 4:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a tornado warning for Central Lincoln County, Northern Lawrence County and Southeastern Copiah County until 4:15 p.m. today.
At 3:09 p.m, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over West Lincoln, or 8 miles southwest of Brookhaven, moving northeast at 50 mph. Hazards include tornado and quarter-size hail. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes could be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles may occur. Tree damage is likely.

This dangerous storm will be near Sontag around 3:35 p.m. Wanilla around 3:40 p.m. Oma and Rockport around 3:45 p.m. Shivers around 3:55 p.m. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Beauregard, New Hebron and Georgetown.
