JACKSON (AP) — Fire engulfed a motel Friday morning in Jackson, creating flames and a plume of smoke that could be seen for miles.
The fire broke out around 6 a.m. at Hilltop Inn & Suites near Interstate 20, news outlets reported.
The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known. Officials had not said whether anyone had been injured.
Images showed several fire trucks working to douse the flames.
