Funeral services for Ray Hamilton III, of Meadville, Mississippi, are Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at St. Peter Rock M.B. Church, Wesson, Mississippi, at 1 p.m. Rev. Arnold Brown will officiate. Burial to follow in Beauregard Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home, in Bude, Mississippi, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, from 3 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, and will continue Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at the church from noon until time of the service.

Mr. Hamilton, 65, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at his residence. He was born May 25, 1954, in Wesson, to Ray Hamilton II and Gertrude Smith Hamilton.

He is preceded in death by his father; one sister, Virginia Dickey; and one brother, James E. Hamilton.

Survivors include his mother; wife, Linda Hamilton; three sons, Maurice Jones, Cedric Hamilton and McKinley Hamilton; daughter, Latonya Shaw; four sisters,  Elaine (Eddie) Dunnigan, Joyce (Ainsworth) Fransico, Cynthia Washington and Cheryl Carter; four brothers, Eugene (Rose) Hamilton, David (Flora) Hamilton, Kenneth (Paulette) Hamilton and William Washington; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
