Thomas G. Herne, 71, of Brookhaven, passed away March 12, 2020, at his residence. He was born June 18, 1948, to Thomas and Ann Herne. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a welder by trade.

Mr. Herne’s favorite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter. In his free time, he would watch NASCAR and ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sherlene Herne and his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Tommy Lee Herne and Lori Barnett and husband, Roy; brothers, Joe Herne and Jimmy Donnelly; sisters, Mary Sell and Terry Fager; two grandchildren, Skylar Barnett and Noah Barnett; and one great-grandchild, Delilah Barnett.
