Q: Is the Keep Lincoln County Beautiful Spring Cleanup still taking place?

A: One aspect of spring-cleaning will be delayed for residents of Lincoln County.

“Keep Lincoln County Beautiful,” where residents can dispose of debris at central locations at no charge, will be rescheduled by the county’s Board of Supervisors.

Solid Waste Coordinator Bob Knight said the event will take place at a later date decided by the board.

“It won’t be anytime soon,” Knight said.

The event involves each Thursday through Saturday of April being dedicated to a different district of the county. The residents of each district come a central location within their district to legally dispose of their debris.

Knight said there was no way to host the event with the current outbreak of COVID-19.

“We’re not going to risk anyone’s health or well-being,” Knight said.
