(AP) — An instructor at a Mississippi community college is no longer employed by the school after comments generated complaints.

Media outlets report that the comments on social media were made during recent demonstrations over police abuses.

Pearl River Community College President Adam Breerwood outlined the decision in a letter posted on the school’s social media accounts.
