Natalie McKenzie of Brookhaven, daughter of Nancy Presley McKenzie and the late Jack McKenzie, announces her engagement and approaching wedding to Andy Bates of Wesson. 

He is the son of Joe Bates and Darlene Bates.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Edith Mae Presley, the late A.J. Presley and the late Walter Atley McKenzie.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Alvin McCardle, the late Peggy Hall, and Hazel Kersh.

Miss McKenzie is a 2015 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center and a 2017 and 2019 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College with degrees in nursing. She is employed as a nurse.

Mr. Bates is a 2014 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center and a 2016 and 2019 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College with degrees in information technology. He is employed in information technology.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020, 2 p.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
