Bobbie Louise Harris Nevels passed away June 14, 2020, in her home in Brookhaven. She was born in Calhoun County, Mississippi, moving to Brookhaven at an early age.
She was a homemaker and helped many young mothers with daycare while they worked. She was affectionately referred to as “Aunt Bobbie” by many who loved her.
She was preceded in death by husband Robert Nevels; daughter, Beth Nevels Smith; brother, Paul Harris; and life long friend, Edith Morgan.
Those left to remember her are daughter, Cathy Nevels; son-in-law, Oscar O. Smith Jr.; sisters, Charlotte Lessing and Betty Jo Smith; brothers, W. F. Harris Jr. and James Harris; grandchildren, Kate Smith and husband Owen, Anna Claire Smith and Oscar O. “Trey” Smith III and wife Nikki; and great-grandchildren, Braydon, Britton, Eva Claire and Buddy.
Services will be Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Pearlhaven Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
