Works from 21 artist members of Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild are showcased in an online exhibit that opened today and continues through Aug. 31.

The “Landmarks & Landscapes” virtual exhibit at braggarts.weebly.com can be viewed as a slideshow, by artist or by pieces for sale. Viewers also are encouraged to vote for up to 12 of their favorite works. The 12 with the most votes by 10 p.m. Aug. 30 will be made into a 12-month 2021 wall calendar available for pre-purchase on the site.

Guild Vice President Derek Covington Smith said a goal was set at the beginning of the year to build community amongst members and celebrate the beauty and wonder of local landscapes.

“And then the world stopped … but we didn’t,” he said, in a letter welcoming viewers to the exhibit. “With new obstacles come new opportunities. We hope you enjoy the show!”

Artists featured in the virtual exhibit are Sam Barton, Shirley Bruce, Bettie Posey Bullard, Katherine Bumgarner, Kay Calcote, Gwen Furey, Brittany Jenkins, Elizabeth Kaplan, Cherie Langston, Prudence McGehee, Cappie Monroe, Bill Perkins, Joanna Posey, Gayle Quick, Sherri Bullard Slusher, Derek Covington Smith, Janet Smith, Janet Campbell Smith, Kathleen Smith, Gloria Sweatman and Jennifer Templeton.
