Gary Walter Smith, 67, died in Jackson on September 22, 2020, after a brief illness.
Gary was born on March 1, 1953, to the late Glenn and Evelyn Miller Smith. He graduated from Brookhaven High School and later attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He was a hard worker, loving the out-of-doors and yard work.
He is survived by daughters, Heather Elisabeth Benfer (Jason) of Wake Forest, NC, and Millicent Helen Smith of Brandon, MS; six grandchildren; sister, Glenda Smith Byrd of Winter Park, FL; a nephew and two nieces; and his fiancé, Candace Minton of Jackson.
