An Amber Alert for brothers Kaiden and Kolden Wall of Pascagoula was lifted just before 11 a.m. Monday when the boys were found safe in Lincoln County.

Their non-custodial mother, Sarah Lynne Caswell, was taken into custody, according to the Mobile County, Alabama, Sheriff’s Office.

The alert issued late Saturday by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation stated that 6-year-old Kaiden Wall — a 3-foot-6, 120-pound white male with brown eyes and brown hair — and 2-year-old Kolden Wall — a 2-foot-3, 40-pound white male with brown eyes and brown hair — were accompanied by 33-year-old Caswell, a 5-foot-3, 150-pound female with black hair.

The trio had been last seen in a 2007 silver Audi bearing Alabama license plate 2BA2195 about 2:30 p.m. in the Mobile, Alabama, area.

A representative from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office told area media the boys were recovered and Caswell taken into custody following a traffic stop around 10 a.m. in Lincoln County near Brookhaven.

Caswell, 33, of Mobile, has been charged with kidnapping after allegedly abducting her children during a supervised visit Friday in Pascagoula.

Caswell was taken into custody by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on Monday morning near Brookhaven after a deputy spotted the vehicle based on the information issued in the Amber Alert. Caswell’s two children, ages six and two, were recovered and returned to the custody of Mississippi Child Protective Services.

Caswell was charged via a criminal complaint with one count of kidnapping. Caswell made an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge John C. Gargiulo at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in United States District Court in Gulfport where she was formally charged. If convicted, Caswell faces up to 20 years in federal prison.

Numerous law enforcement agencies assisted with the investigation and search for Caswell to include: Pascagoula Police Department, Mobile (AL) County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, Hattiesburg Police Department, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, FBI Jackson Field Office, FBI Mobile Field Office and several others.

Criminal charges are merely an accusation, and those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
