BHS moves to virtual learning through November
The Brookhaven School District announced Monday that all high school students would move to a virtual learning schedule beginning today, Nov. 10, and continuing through Friday, Nov. 20.
Students will return to a traditional schedule Monday, Nov. 30.
The decision was made because “we are currently experiencing multiple exclusions of students and staff at Brookhaven High School due to COVID-19 and these disruptions are impacting the learning environment,” according to an official statement from the office of BSD superintendent Rod Henderson.
“Please know that we do not make this decision lightly and are following all Mississippi State Department of Health guidelines for managing schools during this pandemic,” the statement said.
