In observance of Thanksgiving, all area county and city offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27, 2020.

Arrow Disposal Service Inc. will run normal routes for both the city of Brookhaven and Lincoln County, however.

The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and Mississippi Highway Patrol offices will also be closed on Thursday and Friday.

All Brookhaven schools, Lincoln County schools, Brookhaven Academy, Mississippi School of the Arts, Copiah County schools, Franklin County schools, Lawrence County schools and Copiah-Lincoln Community College will be closed all week, from Monday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 27.

Both branches of the U.S. Post Office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and will resume normal operational hours Friday, Nov. 27, 2020.

The Daily Leader will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26.
