Funeral services for Anita Britt Entrican, of Brookhaven, will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial immediately following. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, from noon until the time of the funeral.

Mrs. Entrican died Thursday at her home with her husband of 68 years by her side. She was born in Lincoln County on April 17, 1932, to Benjamin Farmer Britt and Alice Minton Britt and was their last living child of 10.

After graduating at 16 from Loyd Star High School as valedictorian, she finished commercial college and married her childhood sweetheart, Isaac “Doc” Entrican. They lived in several states and raised three children before returning to their hometown.

Retired from General Motors Acceptance Corporation, Mrs. Entrican was named “Citizen of the Year” in 1988 in Senatobia (Miss.) for volunteerism. She was a founding member of the Loyd Star Foundation. She taught preschool Sunday School for many years and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Isaac “Doc” Entrican; son Mitch Entrican and wife, Erin; son Greg Entrican and wife, Claire; daughter Kim Henderson and husband, Mark; 11 grandchildren — Abigail Entrican, Isaac Entrican, Ethan Entrican, Rebecca Entrican, Elizabeth Entrican, Miriam Entrican, Daniel Henderson and wife, Robin, Luke Henderson and wife, Mary, Susanna Dunaway and husband, Caleb, Jonah Henderson and Hannah Henderson; and nine great -grandchildren, with another due near her birthday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
