Barbara Ann Fairweather, 86, of Bismarck, ND (formerly of Bottineau, ND, and Brookhaven, MS), passed away on Dec. 5, 2020, at Sanford Medical Center of Bismarck, ND, with her family by her side.

Barbara was born on June 8, 1934, in Ruffin, SC, to BG Walsh and Carrie L. Shipes Walsh.

Barbara met Reynold Fairweather in Charleston, SC, where he was serving in the US Navy. It only took them six weeks to realize they wanted to spend their lives together and were married on March 27, 1954. They lived in many different places including South Carolina, North Dakota, Georgia and Mississippi. She worked as an insurance processor and office manager. Barbara was a member of the Episcopal Church of The Redeemer in Brookhaven, MS.
She is survived by their five children: Rick Fairweather (Valerie) of Palmetto, FL; Patricia Hadding (Tommy) of Oklahoma City, OK; Vicki Johnson (Mike) of Castle Rock, CO; Mary Jane Cronkhite (Dave) of DeSmet, SD; and Susan Hiatt (Rick) of Bismarck, ND; 12 grandchildren: Brad (Meredith) Larson, Lynley (Mike) Esposito, Shawn Larson, Michael Cowan, Andy (Megan) Marsh, April (Billy) Baumgartner, Megan Marsh, Garrett Marsh, Jennifer (Matt) Klich, Chad (Randi) Johnson, Alison Hiatt and Matthew (Sydney) Hiatt; 17 great-grandchildren: Vangie Larson, Payton and Dallas Esposito, Corbin and Charli Ava Cowan, Weston and Miles Klich, Ryan Burke, Mac and Kenna Johnson, Baleigh, Braxton and Brooklyn Baumgartner, Emma and Daniel Ritter, Cameron and Hadley Hiatt.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, BG Walsh Jr., Herbert and Carl; sisters, MaryAnn Woods and Vernelle Sinclair; and grandson, Nathaniel Cline.
Internment will be at The Episcopal Church of The Redeemer in Brookhaven, MS.
The family prefers memorials be made to Angels Attic at The Episcopal Church of The Redeemer in Brookhaven, MS.
