At approximately 9:45 p.m. Thursday, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle wreck on I-55 in Lincoln County just north of exit 38.

MHP Troop M Cpl. Craig James said a 2011 Toyota Tundra driven by 25-year-old Christopher Spear of Crystal Springs was traveling south on the interstate when his vehicle veered onto the right shoulder and collided with a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Spear’s truck then came back into the roadway and stalled in the left lane.

Spear was standing outside his vehicle off the left shoulder when another vehicle traveling southbound swerved to avoid the stalled truck and struck Spear, said Cpl. James.
