As icy conditions keep many indoors Monday, hundreds are also battling the cold inside their homes.

Entergy reported 15 outages affecting nearly 500 customers just after 10 a.m. Crews are working to restore power, and ask for patience as they also are combating dangerous conditions.

Customers are asked to unplug appliances, and unplug space heaters or turn central heating units to lower temperatures to decrease strain as power is being restored.

MEMA, MDOT and the Mississippi Highway Patrol all caution against non-emergency travel. All roads are currently open, but extreme caution is advised.
