The United States Postal Service has closed offices and delayed delivery for much of Mississippi Tuesday.

A formal statement from USPS stated, “Due to a winter storm, all Post Offices in ZIP Codes starting with: 369, 386, 387, 388, 389, 390, 391, 392, 393, 396 and 397 will be closed for business Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. There will be no retail services, mail delivery or drop shipments. All offices in ZIP Codes starting with 394 and 395 will remain open at this time.”

Another message said safety of customers and employees was the primary reason for the closings.
