Thursday weather and driving conditions are not expected to improve Thursday morning, according to Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Clifford Galey.

“We will not be in any better shape tonight and tomorrow morning than we were this morning,” Galey said in a socialmediapost Wednesdayafternoon. “If you don’t need to get out for an emergency, please don’t.”

Brookhaven is in a “limited threat” area in forecasts published by the National Weather Service. The northwest section of Lincoln County is in an “elevated threat” area for Wednesday night.
