Lincoln County has had 3,413 positive cases of COVID-19 and 99 deaths since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic nearly one year ago, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.

Just three new deaths had been reported to MSDH as of 3 p.m. Thursday, and 360 new positive cases. Because testing facilities have been closed over much of the state for the majority of the week, updated numbers in the days ahead may be elevated.

The state has now had 289,892 cases — 180,550 confirmed and 109,342 probable — and 6,534 deaths — 4,603 confirmed and 1,931 probable.
