County cleanup begins March 4

The Keep Lincoln County Beautiful Spring Cleanup will begin Thursday, March 4.

Solid Waste Coordinator Bob Knight said his crew will be ready to assist county residents in the disposal of non-hazardous items, with the help of workers from district crews and Lincoln County Jail trustees.

No paint, oil or other hazardous materials will be accepted. No commercial rubbish, commercial tires or vegetative debris (tree limbs, etc.) will be accepted. No scavenging will be permitted, either.

Cleanup dumpsters and crews will be available on the following Thursdays-Saturdays at these locations:

District 1 — March 4-6, Jack Morris Gas at the intersection of Hwy. 84 and Hwy. 583.

District 2 — March 11-13, Old Keystone Ballpark on Industrial Park Road.

District 3 — March 18-20, Shell station at I-55 Exit 30.

District 4 — March 25-27, K&S at the intersection of West Lincoln and Jackson-Liberty roads.

District 5 — April 1-3, Case Grocery at the intersection of California Road and Hilltop Lane.
