Lincoln County has had 3,564 reported cases of coronavirus COVID-19 as of 3 p.m. Wednesday, 12 more than the prior day.

Of these, 2,741 were in non-Hispanic ethnicities — 862 cases were Black/African American; 1,734 White; two American Indian/Alaska Native; six Asian; 45 other; and 92 unknown. In Hispanic ethnicities, 24 cases were reported — four Black/African American; nine White; nine other; and two unknown.

Where ethnicity was unknown, there were 799 cases — 171 Black/African American; 270 White; two Asian; 108 other; and 248 unknown.

Lincoln County has had 104 reported coronavirus-related deaths to date. Seventy-three were of non-Hispanic ethnicity — 19 Black/ African American; 51 White; and three other. One was Black/African American, of Hispanic ethnicity. Thirty were of unknown ethnicity — six Black/African American; 19 White; and five other.

Statewide, 479 new cases were reported, bringing Mississippi’s total positive test results to 296,154. Twenty-one new related fatalities were reported, raising the state’s death total to 6,764.
