Mississippi State Veterans Affairs’ State Veterans Home System has won the Pinnacle Quality Insight 2021 Customer Experience Award.

The award marks MSVA’s achievement of scoring in the top 15% of the nation’s long-term care facilities over a 12-month average. This is MSVA’s second consecutive year to win the award.

“We are so proud of our team members tat work in our four State Veterans Homes,” said MSVA Executive Director Stacey Pickering. “Whether it’s the administrators, nursing staff, housekeeping and food service staff, this award shows our commitment to our mission, which is providing superior service, care and assistance to our veterans and their families.”

MSVA has provided skilled nursing facilities for Mississippi’s veterans for more than 30 years.

Each month of 2020, residents and their families participated in telephone interviews that included open-ended questions and the opportunity to rate MSVA in specific categories. These detailed reports enable the state agency to better understand the needs of veterans and their families and identify areas of needed improvement.
