Incumbent police chief moves on to general election

Brookhaven Police Department Chief Kenneth Collins will advance to the city’s general election in June to face Republican Mike Milholen.
Collins received 56% of the vote, or 810 votes, in the primary against challenger Randy Belcher’s 43.64%, or 631 votes.
“It’s all in God’s hands,” Collins said. “We’re just going to keep on working and trying to do what’s right for the city.”
Milholen received 93.92% of the Republican vote – 664 votes. There were 43 write-in votes on the Republican ticket.
