Mrs. Kent was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church Brookhaven.

She graduated in 1948 from Benton High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from the University of Southern Mississippi. She then served as the Home Economist for Franklin County, where she met the love of her life, Wesley Kent, on a blind date. She became a homemaker and mother after being blessed with the adoption of their children.

She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Wesley Fedrick Kent; brothers, W. Herbert King, Henry A King, Laurence Lester King, Warren King Sr. and Norwood B. King.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Wesley Allen Kent, and wife, Wanda; daughter Pamela Louise Kent Matthews and husband, Greg; and grandchildren, Colby Allen Kent and wife, Erica Smith Kent and Mollie Ann Matthews.

We thank The Beehive, their precious sitters, and Hospice Compassus for their compassion and care of our mother.

Memorial can be given to the First Baptist Church of Brookhaven Building Fund.
