Graveside services for June Hall Rushing were Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Heucks Retreat Cemetery in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Rev. Thad Owens Sr. officiated the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

June Hall Rushing of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Friday, April 16, 2021, at King’s Daughters Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born June 11, 1930, to Grover Cleveland Terry and Maggie Coker Terry. She was a member of Heucks Retreat, and later, Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed being involved with the Senior Adult Ministries at Heucks Retreat, Macedonia and First Baptist Church of Brookhaven. Ms. June was known as a wonderful cook and ministered to many families with her talent for cooking. She also loved to sing and was a faithful member of the Lincoln County Choral choir and the Macedonia Adult Choir.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Jewel Charles Hall Sr. and Randolph Louis Smith; son, Jewel Charles Hall Jr.; grandson, Jewel Charles Hall III; and great-grandson, Jared Case.

Survivors are her daughters, Patrice Nan Owens and husband, Thad Owens, and Jennifer McDonald and husband, Kelly McDonald; grandchildren, Christopher McDonald, Scott McDonald, Nan Allen, Thad Owens III, Sandi Case and Christy Hassan; and a host of great-grandchildren, family and friends.
