Junior Auxiliary of Brookhaven was recently awarded the 2021 Merrill Alexander Greenlee Award and the 2021 Eleanor Slaughter Award during the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries annual education conference held in May in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

The NAJA Association established the MAG Award in 2004 to honor Executive Director Merrill Alexander Greenlee, and is presented to a chapter or chapters whose Provisional Class develops an outstanding or unique project that exemplifies the spirit of Junior Auxiliary in dedication and service to the community.

Junior Auxiliary of Brookhaven received this year’s MAG award on behalf of the 2020 Provisional Class project, “Canceling COVID.” 

The NAJA Membership Committee established the Eleanor Slaughter Award in 2008 in honor of past National President Eleanor Slaughter, and is given to recognize Chapters for achievement in the areas of recruitment, retention and/or reengagement of its members.
