Octavia Jones of Wesson, daughter of Wanda Jones and the late William Jones, announces her engagement and approaching marriage to Alexis Dixon of Byram. Alexis is the son of Bobbie Tobias Dixon and Larry Dixon Sr.

Miss Jones is a 2012 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center, a 2013 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College, a 2015 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and a 2018 graduate of Belhaven University with a master’s degree in business administration.

Mr. Dixon is a 2004 graduate of Crystal Springs High School. He is employed as a trucker.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in Jackson.
