USDA acreage reporting deadline is July 15

The deadline for producers of seeded crops to report acreage to the U.S. Department of Agriculture is fast approaching.

Lincoln-Franklin County Farm Service Agency’s reporting deadline is July 15 for spring/summer crops of corn, soybeans, bahia gras, Bermuda grass, native grass, Conservation Reserve Program, etc.

Many farm programs require an acreage report to be timely filed in order to maintain eligibility and benefits of the programs. Failure to file acreage reports may cause ineligibility for future benefits. FSA will not accept acreage reports provided more than one year past the reporting deadline.
