Nena Smith School of Dance presents 46th recital

Nena Smith’s School of Dance recently presented the studio’s 46th annual recital. 

The program presented at Copiah-Lincoln Community College donated admission fees to Relay For Life, collecting more than $6,000 with the help of the Bank Plus Team.

The show’s theme was “City Lights” — everything New York City. Dancers age 4 through adult presented routines in tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, ballet, musical theater, novelty routines, vocal arrangements and a few surprises. The Grande Finale celebrated Christmas in NYC.

Some of the dancers performing were 10th-12th Grade Class Captain and Competition Team member Amber Westbrook; Fellowship of Christian Dancers Captain, Competition Team Co-Captain/member and 2020 recipient of the Jason Counts Memorial Scholarship, Emily Covington; Competition Team member and Dance Teacher in Training Kelly Grace Raiford; Kayla Oberschmidt; Vivian McRee; assistant teacher and Competition Team Co-Captain/member Kayla Barfield; Ramsey Brown; ninth-10th Grade Class Captain and Competition Team member Linda Grace Dunn; Competition Team member Melissa Bradford; Competition Team member and Ad Sale Princess Corley Sandifer; Mara Norwood; Competition Team member Hannah Meredith; Competition Team member Lexie Freeman; Sadie Sandifer; Anna Rai Cline; 2020 Brandy Sanders Memorial Scholarship recipient Haley McCullough; Competition Team member and 2020 Shine Scholarship recipient Reagan Newman; Callie Brooke Barlow; Aurora Varas; and Allie McNeill.
