MHP enters 8th annual Best Looking Cruiser Contest

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is asking for support in the eighth annual Best Looking Cruiser Contest.

The contest, sponsored by American Association of State Troopers, looks for the best submission of memorable and meaningful cruisers.

“The 2021 submission is very special to our agency,” said Troop M information officer Cpl. Craig James.

The photo features a Dodge Charger at the Red Bluff Canyon in Marion County. The cruiser belonged to late Trooper John Harris. Trooper Harris was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer while conducting a traffic stop on Hwy. 16 in Yazoo County on May 28, 2021. He was a member of the MHP Interdiction Team and three years of service. Trooper Harris leaves behind a wife and two children.

MHP dedicates the 2021 contest submission to Harris’ memory.

Voting for the contest has begun and will conclude Aug. 3. Submissions can be seen and votes cast on the MHP Facebook page or here.
