Malcolm ‘Mack’ Campbell Allgood

Malcolm “Mack” Campbell Allgood, age 78, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Mack loved being outdoors, especially deer hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. The man never met a stranger and made countless friends working at Gerry Lane Chevrolet for over 35 years.
He was born in Brookhaven, MS, on October 5, 1942, to Robert E. Lee Allgood Sr. and Hazel Marie Durr Allgood.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings, Harold Smith, Clayton Allgood, Robert “June” Allgood Jr., Audrey “Nell” Laird and Janie Allgood Watts.
He is survived by his son, John Kyle Allgood and wife, Shannon Lamar of Zachary; his daughter, Kimberly Rhea Allgood and companion, Duane Zito of Zachary; former spouse and mother of his children, Mary Alice Stensrud Allgood of Zachary; six grandchildren, Hunter Bick Atkinson, Kylie Brooke Allgood, Haley Alain Atkinson, Braden William Lamar, Austin Joseph Allgood, Kelsi Rhea Atkinson; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven, MS. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Graveside service to follow at Macedonia Baptist Cemetery.
