Police are still actively seeking the culprit who robbed Walgreens in Brookhaven early Wednesday morning.

Just after 6:40 a.m., a man entered the store at 719 Brookway Blvd. and demanded the cashier give him what they had, said Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery, and the suspect got away with about $200 in petty cash.

“We have got everybody out looking for him now, and are asking the public’s help to locate this fellow,” Collins said.

The suspect was described by police as a dark-skinned black male in his early 20s wearing a gray shirt, black pants and black shoes. He was reported to have fled the scene in a small gray car, headed east.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Brookhaven Police Department at 601-833-2424.
