Funeral service for Robert Alan Galey Sr. will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 10, at Pleasant Grove Church in Lawrence County, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Mr. Galey Sr., 61, of Ruth, died September 4, 2021, in Byram, MS. He was born August 29, 1960, in Evansville, IN, to James Kenneth Galey and Peggy Jean Galey. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Allan Hebert.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Galey; son, Robert Galey Jr. and wife, Chandra of Watertown, NY; daughter, Brandy Powell and husband, Thomas of McComb, MS; Brothers, Clifford Galey (Cindy) of East Lincoln, MS, Kenny Galey (Tess) of Fleetwood, NC, and Rick Galey (Carolyn) of Big Branch, LA; sister, Sandy Hebert; seven grandchildren, Lee Powell, Jay Powell, Joe Powell, Connor Galey, Shyann Galey, Adrianna Galey, Carter Caley; and one great-grandchild, Delilah Powell; as well as other loving family members and friends.
