Walmart pharmacies will host a Wellness Day Saturday, Sept. 25, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

As the country continues to make health and safety a top priority in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and with the anticipation of a busy flu season, accessible and affordable immunizations and vaccines are a high priority as well.

Walk-in customers can receive COVID-19 vaccines at no cost, even without insurance. Other vaccines are fully covered under most major insurance plans, according to Walmart Pharmacies. Customers can be vaccinated against flu, and many immunizations are available, including MMR — measles, mumps, rubella — varicella/chicken pox, HPV, tetanus and whooping cough/TDAP.

Other wellness resources will be available, as well.

Walmart pharmacies in Brookhaven, McComb and Hazlehurst are participating in Wellness Day.
