Brookhaven High school senior offensive lineman Zerian Hudson has been picked for one of the highest honors a high school football player in Mississippi can receive.
Hudson has been selected to represent Team Mississippi in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game. The game will take place on Dec. 11 in Hattiesburg.
The 6-foot-3, 330-pound Hudson has been a mainstay on the Brookhaven High offensive line since making the varsity team. Hudson was an All-Region and Daily Leader All-Area selection last season for coach Tucker Peavey.
Todd Breland of South Jones High will be the head coach for Team Mississippi. The 40-man roster is dotted with some of the biggest names in the 2022 football class.
The team includes running back Branson Robinson (Germantown HS) a University of Georgia commit and defensive lineman Jaheim Oatis (Columbia HS) a University of Alabama commit.
Ole Miss leads the way with six current verbal commits on the roster. Both the University of Southern Miss and Mississippi State have four commits apiece on the team.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon in M.M. Roberts Stadium on the campus of Southern Miss in Hattiesburg. The game is the 35th in the series that Alabama leads 23-11.
Alabama broke a three-year winning streak for the Magnolia State last year with a 23-11 victory in Montgomery, Ala.
