Irine Jones Taylor

Irine Jones Taylor, 80, of Summit, MS, passed away peacefully October 17, 2021, at home surrounded by family.

Irine was born September 2, 1941, and raised in Rayville, LA.

She was a member of Tangipahoa Baptist Church and loved worshiping the Lord.

She was the loving wife of Travis Taylor Sr. for 63 years. She was the proud mother of six children: Travis Taylor Jr. and wife Dot, Penny Taylor, Deborah Berteau and husband Dr. Craig Berteau, Robert (Bobby) Taylor and wife Deborah, Lisa Carraway and husband Steve and Jason Taylor and wife Dawne. What a wonderful grandmother she was to 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Irine was the daughter of W.C. and Neoma Jones of West Monroe. She was one of 10 children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers. R.C. Jones, Calvin Jones, W.C. Jones Jr.; and sisters, Audrey Tatum, Mary Spurlock and Flora Ruth Temple.

She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Coronado, Arline Pope and Elaine Ruff.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 19, 2021, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12 – 2 PM with graveside services following at 2:30 PM at Tangipahoa Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. David Millican and Rev. Mike Morris will officiate.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Daniel Chisholm, Justin Chisholm, Chase Reynolds, Nathan Carraway, Gage Chisholm and Stanton Reynolds.
