Abby Arnold

Abby Layne Arnold, daughter of Kristy Murray, is a freshman at West Lincoln Attendance Center. She is an active member of Booster Buddies and is on the A&B Honor Roll, has received Student of the Month Award and Student of The Year Award. She is a cheerleader for the West Lincoln Bears and received the Most Improved Cheer Award recently. She attends Southway Baptist Church. Abby says her favorite thing about living in Brookhaven is how close everyone is and that most people are friendly. Abby will be greeting guests at 601 Sports & Outdoors during Christmas Open House.

Mary Elizabeth “Emme” Barrett, daughter of Senator Jason and Brandi Barrett, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. She is the ninth grade student council representative and a member of the Junior High National Honor Society where she serves as secretary. Emme has been an All A Honor Roll Student since first grade. She was selected as seventh- and eighth-grade class favorite and was recently selected as BA’s ninth-grade Homecoming Maid. She has been selected as student of the month and named Lincoln County’s Exchange Club Youth of the Month. Emme is a member of BA’s State Champion Varsity Softball Team and is a Junior Varsity cheerleader. She plays for the Southern Fury travel softball team and enjoys being outdoors hunting and camping and being social with friends and family. Emmie’s favorite thing about Brookhaven is her school, being close to her friends, eating at all the restaurants, and shopping at the local stores. Emme will be greeting guests at A. Morgan Boutique during Christmas Open House.

Violet Belk

Violet Belk, daughter of Dr. Nic and Brittany Belk and Betsy Belk, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Violet is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is an All-A honor roll student and a member of the Brookhaven High School Lady Panthers Soccer. Violet recently coached a pee wee soccer team for Brookhaven Parks and Recreation. She also participates in travel soccer. Violet is a member of Faith Presbyterian and is active in the Youth Group there. She enjoys listening to music and doing her friends’ hair and makeup for events. Her favorite part about Brookhaven is that she can walk down the street and feel safe and she knows everyone here. Violet will be greeting guests at Mood-The Salon.

Josie Breakfield

Josie Grace Breakfield, daughter of Jonathan and Robyn Breakfield, is a freshman at Loyd Star Attendance Center. She is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Jr. Beta Club. Josie’s honors include being selected as seventh- and eighth-grade Most Beautiful, Freshman Homecoming Maid, Freshman Class Favorite. She is an Honor Roll Student and serves on the Loyd Star Student Council. Josie enjoys Loyd Star athletics playing for the basketball team, softball team and running cross country. She is a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she is active in the youth group and volunteers with VBS each summer. She enjoys singing and dancing. Josie’s favorite thing about Brookhaven is the friendly people and close-knit community. Josie will be greeting guests at Beyond the Rainbow during Christmas Open House.

Lillie Bridge

Lillie Belle Bridge, daughter of Tyler and Kristi Bridge, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Lillie is a member of the BHS Marching Band and Concert Band, playing trumpet. She was recently a featured speaker in the beloved BHS homecoming production. She is an All-A Honor Roll student and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Lillie is a member of Pleasant Grove Church where she enjoys singing and playing bass guitar in their Praise Band. Lillie’s favorite thing about Brookhaven is the sense of community she feels. She says people really care about others and want to help others. Another thing she loves about Brookhaven is the music and festivals. Lillie will be greeting guests at Brookhaven-Medspa Facial Aesthetics.

Ava Calcote

Ava Caroline Calcote, daughter of Clark and Kelly Calcote, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. She is a member of the Honor Roll, Junior High Honor Society, Science Club, and is her class representative on Student Council. Ava is a member of the cougar lady’s soccer team and plays junior varsity basketball. She is a member of First Baptist Church. Ava also enjoys playing the piano. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is our community of loving people. Ava will be greeting guests during Christmas Open House at Castles.

Kensy Covington

Kensy Lee Covington, daughter of Gary and Lisa Covington, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Kensy is an All A Honor Roll Student, member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Treasurer of the Student Council, MS Junior Scholar, ninth-grade class treasurer, has been selected student of the month, and was selected to the BA Homecoming Court her seventh-grade year. She is a member of the lady cougar basketball team and plays for the lady cougar softball team that recently won the overall state championship.

Kensy is a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she is active in her youth group. Outside of school activities, Kensy enjoys playing travel softball as a member of team Legends. Her favorite thing about living in Brookhaven is that everyone is so friendly. She loves that she knows everyone and they treat her like family. Kensy will be greeting guests during Christmas Open House at Downtown Shoes.

Ainsley Gennero

Ainsley Reese Gennero, daughter of Chip and Lacie Gennaro, is a freshman at Loyd Star Attendance Center. Ainsley is an All-A Honor Roll student; member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes; seventh- and eighth-grade Junior Beta Club officer; seventh-, eight- and ninth-grade class officer; seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade student council; and has received multiple academic class awards throughout her years at Loyd Star. She was voted seventh-grade homecoming maid and eighth-grade class favorite. Ainsley is a member of the Loyd Star varsity basketball team, varsity softball team, and runs track for the JV cross country team.

She has also played travel softball for many years. Ainsley is a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she is active in the youth group, teaches VBS, and recently participated in a mission trip to Kentucky. She enjoys volunteering her time with Heritage Hills and the LS Pee Wee basketball program. Ainsley says what she enjoys most about Brookhaven is the loving community where everyone knows everyone. Ainsley will be greeting guests at Elaina Anders Designs during Christmas Open House.

Anabel Gray

Anabel Langston Gray, daughter of Bruce and Dr. Leigh Cher Gray, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Anabel is a member of the All A Honor Roll and was selected as a Mississippi Scholar. She is a member of BHS FCA leadership team, Red Nation, and recently took the stage in the highly anticipated, beloved BHS Homecoming Production. Anabel has been a member of the BHS tennis team since seventh grade. She is a member of First United Methodist Church where she is active in the youth group, praise band, Vacation Bible School, and is a Youth Acolyte. Anabel enjoys babysitting and volunteering with the Brookhaven Animal Rescue League. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the people and the hospitality. She loves that it is a sweet, small town where everyone knows each other. The historical places and sights around town in Brookhaven make her feel like it really is a Home Seekers Paradise. Anabel will be greeting guests during Christmas Open House at Engravables.

Piper Jordan

Piper Cheyenne Jordan, daughter of Patricia Jordan, is a freshman at West Lincoln. Piper is a member of the West Lincoln Honor Roll and has placed first in the Reading Fair seven years in a row. She is a member of the cheer team and is active in the West Lincoln Future Farmers of America. She is a member of the archery team where she was selected as the top junior high female archer. Piper enjoys participating in plays at Brookhaven Little Theatre and has served as a camp counselor for the BLT kid’s camp. She is also active at Johnson Grove Church of Christ. Piper’s favorite thing about living in Brookhaven is that people are nice and encouraging. The neighborhoods are nice and peaceful. She says it is welcoming and beautiful. Piper will be greeting guests during Christmas Open House at Expectations.

Alizabeth Kees

Alizabeth Anne Kees, daughter of Kristy Spiller Collins and Fredrick Kees, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. She is an All A Honor Roll Student at BHS and is a member of the Jr. Honor Society. Alizabeth was voted as eighth-grade Class President, ninth-grade class officer, ninth-grade student council representative and voted Freshman Class Homecoming Maid. She was a member of the lamplighters and was the Duke-Tip Recipient. Alizabeth was a Jr. High Cheerleader and currently plays for the BHS volleyball team. She is a member of Mount Wade Missionary Baptist Church where she serves as the youth ministry club’s secretary and the Young Usher’s Ministry. She is also a Girl Scout. Her favorite thing about living in Brookhaven and Lincoln County is the family-like atmosphere. Everyone greets each other with a smile and polite remarks and you never meet a stranger. She enjoys living in Brookhaven and is excited to see what the future has in store for her city. Alizabeth will be greeting guests at Expectations Too during Christmas Open House.

Caroline Hardy Kilpatrick, daughter of Jay and Missy Kilpatrick, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Caroline is an Honor Roll student and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was named Most Valuable Offensive Player for the BHS varsity soccer team and won the 2021 5A Mixed Doubles State Championship for the BHS varsity tennis team. Caroline is a member of the First Baptist Youth Group. She says Brookhaven is a great place to grow up. She has made and am continuing to make life-long friendships here. Caroline will be greeting guests at Judy’s II Shoes & More during Christmas Open House.

Jaidyn Leggett

Jaidyn Kinzlea Leggett, daughter of Amanda Dayton, is a freshman at West Lincoln. Jaidyn is a member of Booster Buddies, an Honor Roll student, serves on the yearbook staff, and is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Jaidyn was the captain of her Jr. High cheer team and was the first place Grand Champion for the US Finals in competitive cheer with MS Spirit. She currently is on the varsity cheer squad and plays varsity softball. 

Jaidyn is an active member of Southway Baptist Church where she serves on the outreach team in the youth group. She enjoys going to the lake and the beach, traveling for cheer competitions and spending time with friends. She hopes to own her own cheer company and gym one day. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the close knit community where she can get together and have a good time with friends and family. She also enjoys events that happen in town like the Ole Brook Festival. Jaidyn will be greeting guests at Mint during Christmas Open House.

Aibry Martin

Aibry Laine Martin, daughter of Jacob and Ashley Martin, is a freshman at West Lincoln. Aibry is a member of Booster Buddies, an Honor Roll student, and serves on the yearbook staff. She received the Trusmark Scholastic Award in 2021. Aibry has served as Jr. High co-captain for the Jr. High Cheer Squad and is now a varsity cheerleader. She was named most beautiful for the 2015 and 2018 school year and was recently voted as her freshman class homecoming maid. Aibry is active in the outreach and service programs in her youth group at Southway Baptist Church. She enjoys shopping, being with friends and riding jetskis. She hopes to be a cosmetologist when she grows up. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town feel. She loves living in the county so she can be outside riding four wheelers and building bonfires. Aibry will be greeting guests at Mint during Christmas Open House.

Mary Parker Mason

Mary Parker Mason, daughter of Wade and Kristina Mason, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Mary Parker is an Honor Roll student and is currently in Honors Math and Honors English. She is a member of the Ole Brook Soccer Club and has played soccer her seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade years. She is also a member of the BHS volleyball team. Mary Parker enjoys volunteering during Junior Auxiliary Shrimp Dinner, performing at Brookhaven Little Theatre, and recently performed in the Brookhaven High School homecoming production. She says her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the friendships she has built. She loves her school and her soccer family. Mary Parker will be greeting guests at J. Allan’s during Christmas Open House.

Natalie McKinney

Natalie Elizabeth McKinney, daughter of Danny and Christy McKinney, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. She is an Honor Roll student and is in Honors English. She is a member of the BA State Championship Softball Team and plays for the Southern Fury travel softball team. She is involved in the Heucks Retreat Baptist Church youth group. Having grown up in Georgia (though her dad is a BA graduate of 1983), Natalie is new to Brookhaven. She said the first thing she noticed and what she loves about Brookhaven is the tight unit community and she’s excited to be a part of it. Natalie will be greeting guests at PJ’s Coffee during Christmas Open House.
