Two men were fleeing police officers on foot around Avenue A in Brookhaven around 6:15 a.m. Saturday after attempting to steal the ATM from Regions Bank on Halbert Heights Road just after 5 a.m.

BPD Chief Kenneth Collins said two men with a van from McComb tried to pull the money machine loose with the van, then fled officers on foot.

Officers believe the suspects will attempt to steal another vehicle.
