Jessica Breazeale, of Wesson, was recently awarded with two honors from the Public Relations Association of Mississippi, Pine Belt Chapter.

Breazeale received an award of merit for a 2020 summer safety campaign she implemented. She also received a 2021 Senior Practitioner Award from the Southern Public Relations Federation.

The SPRF award was established to honor federation members recognized by their peers as veteran public relations professionals with high ethical standing. A recipient must qualify in three of four criteria:

• 15 years full-time PR experience

• Accreditation by a Universal Accreditation Board member organization

• Officer or board member at chapter, state or SPRF level

• Recognition of professionalism as evidenced by such awards as Practitioner of the Year, Lantern Award or similar award

Breazeale met all four criteria, and was recognized at the SPRF annual conference, conducted this year in Panama City Beach. A regional conference took place in Hattiesburg.

“It was a huge honor being nominated and recognized — even though I couldn’t be in Panama City,” Breazeale said. “When they told me they wanted to also recognize me in Hattiesburg, I asked my mom to come with me. It was nice having her there with me, as well.”
