Academy for at-risk youth begins in Brookhaven

Commandant Kenneth Claiborne began instruction for the first cadet class of the Brookhaven Hope Academy Saturday. The 90-day program aims to teach “at-risk” males age 12-17 respect, accountability and etiquette and set them on “a positive trajectory,” Claiborne said.
