A mask mandate will continue but students will return to a traditional schedule in Brookhaven city schools.

The Brookhaven School District Board voted Tuesday on the issues during its regular monthly meeting.

Though students will continue in a hybrid schedule through Friday, Jan. 28, all campuses will return to traditional, non-hybrid schedules Monday, Jan. 31.

The district is operating according to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s “Guidance for COVID-19 Prevention in K-12 Schools,” which can be read in its entirety on the district’s website or here.
