Masks are now optional for all Lawrence County School District campuses and buses.

The School Board voted in a special meeting Wednesday, March 9, that masks and other facial coverings would be optional for all students, faculty, staff and visitors both inside and outside school facilities and transportation. The vote took effect immediately.

“Healthy habits are encouraged to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases,” a statement from the district read.
