The Lincoln County Tennis Tournament was recently held at the Brookhaven Country Club and the team representing Bogue Chitto and coached by Chase Wallace won first place in the event.

Bogue Chitto got bracket wins in boys’ singles from Jax Leggett, girls’ No. 2 doubles from Kalie Waldrop and Madison Moak and boys’ No. 2 doubles from Cameron Williams and Colten Kimble.

Ady Locke of Loyd Star won the girls’ singles bracket. The duo of Chloe Sterling and Alexis Johnson of West Lincoln won the girls’ No. 2 doubles bracket. The West Lincoln pair of Kam Clark and Tristin Rollins won the boys’ No. 1 doubles bracket.

The teams from Bogue Chitto (Mason Barron, Jacey Hutson), Enterprise (Hunter Givens, Allayna Barnett) and Loyd Star (Knox Leggett, Haley McCullough) all finished with identical 2-1 records in mixed doubles play.

Other athletes representing Bogue Chitto in the event included Joy Leggett, Kyndra Quinn, Autumn Ramshur, Andrew Merrell and Gage Smith.

Also representing the Loyd Star Hornets were Ethan Smith, Maleigha Bowman, Jenna Smith, Allison Etheridge, Amelia Thornton, Owen Smith, Jordan Rome, Braxton Williams, Lawson Cook, Addison Franklin, Bailey Warrick and Matthew Brister.

Representing the team from Enterprise were Kolby Sagely, Marlee Johnson, Natalie Harris, Ellie Davis, Abby Williams, Haley Carithers, Taylor Presley, Evan Brumfield, Zac Thompson, Caleb Spicer, Alyssa Jeareaux, Carlie Waldrop, Annie Williamson, Isabela Arevalo, Abby Williamson, Jake Waldrop, Evan Brumfield, Alex Sales, Ayden Arevalo, Keegan King, Maranda Bowman, Julie Rippy and Anna Close.

Playing for West Lincoln in the event were Baylor Sills, Katelyn Berryhill, Alaina Mathis, Kali Herring, Hayden Skates and Bella Ferguson.
