A celebration of life for Mr. James Ted Baggett will be held April 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Crossroads of Life church in Byram, MS.

James Ted Baggett, 61, of Brookhaven,MS, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. He was born to the late Ollie Ted Baggett and Tera Ann Baggett, on Sep. 28, 1960 in Langdale, AL. Ted graduated from Holtville High school in 1978. He went to join the Marines. He served 1978-1981. 

Ted was a devoted husband to his wife, his “queenie”, Beverly Baggett, of 34 years. He was a loving father to his children, Courtney, Josh, Ashley and Haley.

 Ted loved people and life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and his smile was beautiful and contagious! He was always busy doing things he loved; fishing, hunting, building things, his blue bronco, coaching, all things Auburn, and spending time with his loved ones near and far. He was an active church member at Crossroads of Life church and loved the Lord dearly. He always strived to set the best example of a godly, hardworking, kind hearted man, and he succeeded in the task! He would always put others before himself and found ways to help others even in his final days by being an organ donor.

Ted is survived by his wife, his best friend, Beverly Baggett, his loving mother, Tera Baggett; his sons, Courtney Baggett and Josh Bain; his daughters, Ashley Chapman and Haley Mitchell (Brian); 7 grandchildren, Kadon Chapman, Brandon Baggett, Kendall Chapman, Kennedy Baggett, Khloe Brooks, Reid Mitchell and baby Caroline James Mitchell; 4 brothers, Andy Baggett (Debbie), Matthew Baggett (Jessica), Josh Baggett; his only sister, Emmy Gibbons (Aaron); many nieces and nephews that were all loved and dear to his heart; and his fur babies, Aubie and Weagle. 

Ted is preceded in death by his father and his loving brother, Ric Baggett. 

The family would like to thank all of the friends and family that have supported them with loving words, open arms and support. Love and kindness is what he was all about, it will forever be appreciated.
