7:30 a.m. litter cleanup. Volunteers will meet at A.L. Lott Sportsplex to pick up litter in the community. Bags and grabbers will be provided.

The Brookhaven School District Board will meet at 6 p.m. at the Central Office.

Friday, April 29

Heucks Retreat Alumni Association reunion will be at Heucks Retreat Baptist Church Family Life Center, with registration at 4 p.m. A covered dish meal will be served at 5 p.m. The reunion will continue Saturday at 10 a.m. A catered lunch will be served at noon. New Sight Baptist Church will have HomecomingSunday, with Sunday school beginning at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m. Message by Bro. Todd Sumrall. Josh Britt will lead music. A covered dish lunch will follow the morning service in the Family Life Center.

The Lincoln County Board of Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. in the County Board Room of The Lincoln County/Brookhaven Governmental Complex.

The Brookhaven Board of Aldermen will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the City Boardroom of The Lincoln County/Brookhaven Governmental Complex. Meetings are streamed live on the city’s Facebook page.

Saturday, May 7

Divide Memorial Methodist Protestant Church will host Springfest 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The church is located 11 miles south of Monticello off Hwy. 27. This will be a full day of fun and fellowship with vendor booths, entertainment, a food court, a bake sale, an auction, door prizes, children’s activities and more!
